This year's XXL Freshman List has dropped and features some of the biggest names in hip hop yet some rappers are left off the cover.
There are 11 artists this year and the full list in alphabetical order is: Blueface, Comethazine, DaBaby, Gunna, Lil Mosey, Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, Roddy Rich, Tierra Whack, YBN Cordae and YK Osiris. XXXTentacion and Ski Mask the Slump God's DJ (DJ Scheme) will lead the cyphers this year. For the first time ever they have featured three females artists.
XXL will be releasing freestyles and in depth content on each artist gradually throughout the next few weeks.
A few artists who are suprises for not being on the list are: Juice WRLD, Lil Nas X, YNW Melly, Sheck Wes and Lil Baby. Juice WRLD took to his Instagram live to let his fans know that he turned down the opputunity. The rest of the artists have not made official statements.
