The teams included in this year's four team playoff is (1) Alabama, (2) Clemson, (3) Ohio State and (4) Notre Dame.

Alabama VS. Notre Dame

The Crimson Tide dominated their last meeting in the 2012 BCS National Championship. Despite losing the ACC Championship game Notre Dame squeaked in over Texas A&M. The Aggies only loss comes from Alabama.

The matchup does not look to great for Notre Dame as Alabama has put up 40 points in every game besides week one in which they scored 38. Mac Jones has thrown 32 touchdowns with only four interceptions. The Fighting Irish is going to have a challenge also finding a way to stop Najee Harris who has rushed for over 1500 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Clemson VS. Ohio State

The Buckeyes played a very short season finishing 6-0. Clemson's only loss came to Notre Dame in double overtime but seeked revenge in the ACC Championship. This may be the soul reason that Notre Dame made the playoff.

Justin Fields threw for a 72% completion percentage. The Tigers defense allowed a 52% completion percentage so this should be a better game on this side of the ball. Whoever can win this matchup should seal the deal.

January 1, New Years day, is when the first round will be played. Alabama and Notre Dame play at 5 P.M. and Clemson and Ohio State play 8:45 P.M. on ESPN. The National championship will be played January 11 in Miami at 8 P.M. on ESPN as well.
