The 16-year-old Bugha wins $3 million in the first ever solo World Cup of Fortnite.
He dominated by winning two out of the six matches with a total of 59 points. The next closest person was Psalm at 33. Bugha’s prize winning was larger than a lot of professional sports winnings such as Tiger Woods winning the Masters.
There were many players who were unheard of before the event that made a name for themselves such as the 13-year-old King from Argentina who came in 5th place and earned $900,000. Over 40 million people attempted to qualify for this year’s World Cup. It will be interesting to see where Fortnite will go after such great success.
Also after the conclusion of the tournament an exclusive look at season 10 was shown on the big screen. They also took to their official Instagram to show the post for the season that starts in two days. Many people on the internet are speculating that they are going to bring back some parts of the map that were taken away such as Dusty Depot, Anarchy Acres or even Retail Row.
