This is the first Saturday of the year filled with college football and there are some intriguing games.
The obvious game of the week is #11 Oregon vs. #16 Auburn. This is a rematch of the 2011 BCS National Championship game where Cam Newton lead the Tigers to a win. They are playing this game in Dallas at Cowboy stadium.
The Ducks return 20 starters and have a Heisman hopeful in Justin Herbert who has thrown a touchdown in 28 straight games. With that being said they are still underdogs in the Vegas odds.
Bo Nix is leading Auburn as a freshman quarterback. This will be an interesting matchup tonight at 6:30 on ABC.
#25 Stanford vs. Northwestern
Although Stanford is heavily favored this should be a close game. They are having to replace a lot of players from their squad last year. The Cardinal have a tough schedule ahead of them playing Central Florida, USC and Washington in the coming weeks.
The Wildcats won the Big Ten West last season. They have Isaiah Bowser coming back for his Sophomore year who was great last year.
The game starts at 3:00 on FOX Sports.

#10 Texas vs. Louisiana Tech
The Longhorns have had trouble winning opening games the last few years. They lost to Maryland two years in a row. They are ranked 10th in the nation and have a senior quarterback in J’mar Smith so they should win but it will be a game you won’t want to miss.
Louisiana Tech is not without star power though in Adrian Hardy whose numbers compete with anybody in the nation. They are for sure Conference USA contenders.
Boise St. vs. Florida St.
This game has been moved in fear of the hurricane affecting it. The Seminoles had a down year in 2018 and hope to bounce back against Boise St. who has been decent for a non-power five school. The game starts at 11:00 on ESPN News.
Toledo vs. Kentucky
The Wildcats had a ten-win season for the first time in nearly 40 years. The junior quarterback Terry Wilson has experience, but they are no strangers to losing at home.
On SEC Network at 11:00 expect Toledo to come out strong. They averaged 40 points a game last year.
Ole Miss vs. Memphis
This game will be very close. It is a near rivalry game with the campuses being so close to each other. Although they are in different conferences this game always has heat between them.
Expect Ole Miss to come out and with a big lineup and Memphis to play with a vengeance being the underdog. The last time they played was 2016 where Ole Miss won but the year before that the Tigers came out on top.
Game starts at 11:00 on ABC.
#13 Washington vs. Eastern Washington
This is an in-state game that seemingly looks like Washington winning with ease. They are ranked 13th this year but Eastern Washington has had some good teams in recent history.
This game is at 2:00 on PAC 12 Network.
