Disney+ Confirms Multiple Star Wars Projects

The Star Wars saga will continue on Disney+ with seven new series and short films being announced today.

Rangers Of The New Republic

This TV series is set to take place in The Mandalorian timeline. It appears that this is going to take place after the Darth Vader saga potentially before the Rey and Kylo Ren arc. There is no official date for this yet.


Ahsoka

This is also set to be taking place within The Mandalorian timeline. Rosario Dawson will be playing the female jedi. For a release date fans will have to wait a little longer.


Andor

A new series taking place during the Rogue One era. A lot of fans felt strongly about this movie but for Star Wars purists it was appreciated. This is set to premier in 2022.


OBI-WAN KENOBI

Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor are set to return to their roles. This is set to take place between episodes three and four which is ten years after their epic battle. Disney has teased this show for over a year and it isn't much but it's enough.


The Bad Batch

With the announcement of this show it marks the third animated series. There is not release date teased quite yet.


Star Wars: Visions

The Instagram caption stated that they have recruited top anime creators to make a short series. There are not other details.


Willow

A pilot for this series directed by Jon M. Chu of Crazy Rich Asians starring Warwick Davis who was previously an Ewok in the originally trilogy. This is set to release in 2022.
