The Eagles improve to 8-0 in the district after beating Huntland at home Tuesday night to complete the sweep.
Caleb Holdcraft pitched a phenomenal game striking out nine batters. He did not allow a base runner until the sixth inning. He also hit a triple and scored on a throwing error.
Eagleville got ahead in this game early and held the lead for the remainder of the competition. They were able to get across tow runs in the second inning thanks to and RBI from Nate Brewer. Brewer went on to score from third base on a botched throw down to second base.
Huntland was not able to get anything going on offense and only had two hits. Holdcraft held them to zero runs and pitched a complete game. The final was 3-0 and Eagleville improves to 13-6 overall.
Their next games are this weekend in the Creekwood tournament. Their first opponent is Grace Christian Academy Friday, April 19.
