The 2019 MLB playoffs start tonight with the AL Wildcard game. This is the time of year where if you haven’t watched baseball all year you will want to tune in for October baseball. Below you can read about all the matchups and channels you can see the games.
American League Wild Card
Tampa Bay Rays VS. Oakland A’s
Tuesday, October 1, 7:00 P.M. on TBS.
This game should be a better matchup than the NL wildcard game.
The Rays have Charlie Morton taking the mound who has been outstanding this season. He also has World Series experience with the Astros, so he’s been there before.
Oakland hopes that Matt Olson can lead this squad with his bat.
National League Wild Card
Washington Nationals VS. Milwaukee Brewers
Wednesday, October 2, 7:00 P.M. on ESPN.
This winner take all game Max Scherzer is on the mound hoping to advance the Nationals in the postseason. He’s definitely their guy.
The Brewers are without their MVP Christian Yelich so the offense is suffering slightly.
American League Division Series
Minnesota Twins VS. New York Yankees

Both of these teams set the records for most home runs in a single season. This series could easily go seven games. It will be very high scoring each game.
A’s/Rays VS. Houston Astros

Whether Houston players the A’s or Rays they are prepared to put their stout rotation on the mound. They hope to win a second title in three years.
National League Division Series
St. Louis Cardinals VS. Atlanta Braves

The Braves are having one of the best seasons they have had in a long time. They have won 100 games this year.
Jack Flaherty is arguably the best pitcher on both teams. If the series goes deep, then they may face him twice.
Nationals/Brewers VS. Los Angeles Dodgers

Washington will be a tough opponent for the NL West champions. This will be a challenging series if the Nationals advance against the Brewers.
If Milwaukee wins then Los Angeles should cruise through.
