Lil Dicky who is known mostly for his comedic style in his music and videos dropped a seven minute song called "Earth" this Friday.
The track raises awareness on climate change with Earth Day just a few days away. He uses this platform to address a serious subject matter but still using his quirky sense of humor.
The biggest stars on the planet are recruited by Lil Dicky to spread his message. Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Zac Brown, Brendon Urie, Hailee Steinfeld, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Adam Levine, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, SIA, Miley Cyrus, Lil Jon, Rita Ora, Miguel, Katy Perry, Lil Yachty, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, Joel Embiid, Tory Lanez, John Legend, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Psy and Kris Wu all play the voices of different animated animals in the music video. All the proceeds from will be donated to Leonardo DiCaprio's foundation that aims to conserve the Earth's habitat. (https://www.leonardodicaprio.org/)
Saving the Earth is the focal point of this project from Lil Dicky. It does not follow the traditional style he usually has when he releases a new music. The song is reminiscent of "We are the World" but with a witty undertone. He did a great job of getting some of the most popular stars on the internet to help spread this message.
