A live action Pokémon film is set to release in the United States this weekend.
The movie is starring Ryan Reynolds playing Pikachu. He will be headlining the film with Justice Smith who played roles in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Netflix’s The Get Down and will be acting as Tim Goodman. The two will be investigating the disappearance of Harry Goodman who is Tim’s father in the movie.
This film will show a unique side of the Pokémon universe that has never been seen before. Detective Pikachu is an adaptation of the video game which was released on Nintendo 3DS last year. Rob Letterman is the director who has credits from working on Aliens vs. Monsters and Shark Tale. This movie will provide the audience with a comedic experience for children and fans of Pokémon.
