The Pokémon franchise has transcended generations as they celebrate their 25th anniversary this year with special releases coming in 2021.
The brand itself is the highest grossing media entity earning over $92 billion. From the Gameboy games, to trading cards and cartoons they have found a way to stay relevant and withstand the test of time.
The actual observed date for the anniversary is February 27. Pokémon will be releasing special 25th anniversary sets, continuing the anime series and adding more updates to PokémonGo. There will also be a remake of Pokémon Snap on the Nintendo Switch.
