Puig and Greinke get Moved at the Deadline

This year’s trade deadline was interesting because there weren’t many moves until right at the end and some stars who were expected to be dealt stayed put.

Houston added Zach Greinke to their already stacked rotation. With Justin Verlander, Wade Miley and Gerrit Cole as their starters they are in the World Series conversation without a doubt.

Yasiel Puig who has had better years for sure was sent to the Indians. His career has had his highs and lows for sure. He has now been traded twice within a year. Although he was traded mid game he still found himself in the middle of a benches clearing brawl that will likely give him some sort of suspension. Trevor Bauer was sent to Cincinnati in return.

Also, a trade that many are overlooking is the Detroit and Atlanta exchange that sent Shane Greene to the Braves. He is an All-Star reliever who should be useful for them to make a postseason run.

Giants fans are ecstatic that Madison Bumgarner was not traded away. The teams that have stayed quiet this year are either buckling down and playing for the postseason or tanking for next year.
