The new Star Wars film is called "The Rise of Skywalker" and will release in theaters on December 20, 2019. The teaser confirms that this will indeed be the final chapter in the saga. It appears as though all the questions from Rey's past to Leader Snoke will be confronted. Also in the trailer it shows Kylo Ren's helmet being repaired showing that he has chosen to defend the dark side once again.
Although Carrie Fisher has passed away her character, Princess Leia, will be in the film with no CGI. Vanity Fair states that there is unused footage from previous filming that is going to be used for the last movie. "Because Star Wars fans know a bit about the Leia footage that didn’t make it into The Force Awakens, they’ve been busy speculating which unused threads from that film might be integrated into this new movie."
The narration in the trailer says, "no one's ever gone" which opens many doors. Mysteriously at the end of the video you can hear a creepy laugh that can't be mistaken which belongs to Emperor Palpatine. Many people were upset with the outcome of the previous two films in the trilogy and carries a theme that goes against what Kylo said when killing Snoke: letting the past die.
