The PAC 12 and BIG 10 have chosen to not play football this fall and leave the possibility of a Spring season in the air.
So far, the BIG 12, SEC and ACC are still planning to keep things going as planned before with the modified schedules. Many student athletes have taken to social media to express their feelings about their commissioners’ decisions such as Trevor Lawrence.
Ohio State’s coach Ryan Day spoke today about wanting to get the season started as soon as possible. He is eager to get his players such as Justin Fields ready for the NFL draft April.
Also, Scott Frost, head coach of Nebraska, said that he wants to try and still play this fall. The program has played since 1889 through two world wars and a pandemic 100 years ago. The BIG 10 also stated that if they choose to disobey them then they would be removed from the conference.
There are some other contradictions that Clay Travis brought up on Twitter. The state of Iowa is home to the Cyclones of the BIG 12 and Hawkeyes of the BIG 10. One will be going on as normal and the other not so much.
True fans are willing to accept any sort of modified schedule with or without fans. It will be interesting to see college football in the Spring.
